Wheaton Goes Wild, But Bulldogs Win
Despite a great performance by San Antonio third baseman Ron Wheaton, the Spokane Bulldogs defeated the Storm Troopers by the score of 11-8 at The Kennel. Wheaton went 3 for 3 with a home run, 2 doubles, and 2 walks, while scoring 3 times and driving in 3. Danny Stewart converted his 1st save in 5 tries. Spokane occupies last place in the Roy Halladay League Bruce Bochy Division at 49-59.

Andy Coyle hit a 2-run double off Lorenzo Ortega in the bottom of the sixth, which put the Bulldogs in front, 8-7. In addition to the double, Coyle had 1 single, while going 2 for 5.
