Retter Dazzles in Wichita Win
Pitcher Jay Retter was sensational for the Wichita Wolverines in his team's 3-1 triumph over the Long Island Ducks. Retter received player of the game honors, while picking up the win. Wichita goes to 69-39. The win puts them 5½ games up in their division.

Retter earned the win to move to 10-4. In his 8-inning performance, he scattered 3 hits, striking out 9 and walking 3. The left-hander allowed the Ducks few scoring opportunities.

"It was a solid team effort," said Retter after the game.
