Snaps Pull Off Thrilling Win in Extras
|
Cincinnati starter Diego Castro had a strong outing against the Fraser Valley Black Bears at The Stetson Bowl. The left-hander was a big part of his team's 5-3 win. Cisco Núñez, credited with the win, is now 4-1. He allowed no runs on 1 hit in 1.2 innings. The second-place Black Bears have dropped 4 straight games.
The Snaps got a big at-bat from center fielder Adam Champagne. For the game, Champagne was 1-5 with a double and a walk, while scoring 2 runs. In the top of the 11th, with a runner on 2nd, he stroked a run-scoring double. His 1st double of the season gave Cincinnati a 4-3 lead.
Castro called the triumph "a good team win."
