Bullets Use Late-Game Magic to Beat Hackers
|
The Silicon Valley Hackers got a superb performance from pitcher António Domínguez, but the Biloxi Bullets still won the game, 2-1. Domínguez was named the player of the game despite the loss. He threw 7 innings of 3-hit ball. José Vásquez picked up the win in relief, improving his record to 2-3. Quiang Tu was tagged with the loss. Doug Durham earned his 19th save in 22 chances.
A crucial at-bat came with runners on 1st and 2nd and one out in the top of the seventh inning. That's when right fielder Hideki Kobayashi drew a walk. The Bullets went on to win.
"I felt we were ready to go," said Biloxi manager Manuel Ruíz. "Our pregame was pretty good."
The Bullets now have a record of 36-66.
