Victory Over Red Bulls Takes Pacifica to 65-40
|
The Pacifica Shamrocks knocked off the Riverside Red Bulls, 10-5, at Red Bull Stadium. Dave Evans, who captured player of the game honors, was a big reason Pacifica won. The shortstop was 2-5 with a home run and a walk. He drove in 4 runs and scored once. Pacifica reliever Miguel Torres picked up the win to move to 2-0. Daryl Walder suffered the loss. Pacifica is now 65-40, 7 games up in the Cory Lidle League Gene Mauch Division.
Ricardo Aragon chipped in for Pacifica with a 2-run single in the top of the fourth. For the game, the first baseman had 2 hits in 5 at-bats with 1 home run, 1 single, 1 run scored, and 3 runs batted in.
"We were able to get some things going offensively," said Aragon.
