Predators Pull Even With 3-2 Victory
|
The Topeka Predators got a strong performance from pitcher Angel Chavez, who stymied the Marysville offense en route to a 3-2 win at Mitts Fieldhouse. Chavez picked up the win for Topeka, going 6 innings. He gave up 1 run on 5 hits. He now sports a record of 13-3. The Predators bumped their record to 51-51 with this latest triumph.
The Predators got a big at-bat from third baseman Kevin McVey. For the game, McVey went 2 for 4 with 2 singles. He drove in 2 runs. In the top of the sixth, with runners on 2nd and 3rd, he stroked a 2-run single. His 65th hit of the season gave Topeka a 3-1 lead.
