The inspired effort of Frisco third baseman Jamie Milligan was not enough to prevent a 6-4 loss to the DeKalb Cornhuskers. Milligan was 3-4 with a home run and 2 singles. He scored 2 runs. The win was credited to Ray Burns in relief. His record improves to 4-1. Ed Gratton took the loss. Manny López got the save, his 2nd in 2 chances.

The Cornhuskers got a big at-bat from second baseman Paul Seibold. For the game, Seibold went 2-4 with a double. He drove in 4 runs. In the top of the eighth, with runners on 2nd and 3rd, he stroked a 2-run single. His 58th hit of the season gave DeKalb a 6-4 lead.

"We'll grab a cold one tonight and go after another win tomorrow," Seibold said.

DeKalb goes to 50-53, Frisco to 59-42.
