The first-place Wichita Wolverines picked up another win at Howling Park.

The Wichita Wolverines had to overcome a big game from Phoenix left fielder Jamie Rose to leave Howling Park with a 10-4 victory. Rose went 3 for 5 with a home run and 2 singles. He scored 3 times and drove in 2. The Wolverines bumped their record to 64-36 with this latest triumph.

The Wolverines got a big at-bat from first baseman Orlando Talamantez. For the game, Talamantez was 1-4 with a home run. He drove in 4 runs and scored once. In the bottom of the third, with the bases loaded, he stroked a grand slam home run. His 12th home run of the season gave Wichita a 5-2 lead.

"Winning the game is always the first objective," Talamantez said.
