Getting an impressive start from Harold Wilford, Ruidoso beat San Antonio by the score of 4-2. The winner was Dave Basurto in relief. His record improves to 4-0. Dennis Hale took the loss. The Osos bumped their record to 54-46 with this latest triumph.

The Osos got a big at-bat from third baseman Jim Bennett. For the game, Bennett went 1 for 1 with a home run. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. In the top of the 12th, with a runner on 2nd, he stroked a 2-run home run. His 5th home run of the season gave Ruidoso a 4-2 lead.

"You can't get too high when things go well, or too low when things go bad. Right now, I'm just happy we got the win," Bennett told the Ruidoso Observer.
