Getting an impressive start from Yasukazu Kouda, Long Island beat Silicon Valley by the score of 7-1. Kouda, now 8-6, was the winner. In 7 innings, he gave up 4 hits, while striking out 6, walking 1, and allowing 1 earned run.

The Ducks got a big at-bat from center fielder Clifton Leclair. For the game, Leclair went 1-4 with a double. He drove in 3 runs. In the bottom of the second, with runners on 1st and 3rd, he stroked a 2-run double. His 6th double of the season gave Long Island a 3-1 lead.
