DeKalb and Sandy Springs duked it out at The Coliseum and the Cornhuskers came out victorious.

The DeKalb Cornhuskers defeated the Sandy Springs Spartans, 4-2, at The Coliseum today. Leading the charge for DeKalb was third baseman Kyle McWilliams. He was 2-4 with a home run, while scoring 2 runs. The win was Masuhiro Miyazaki's in relief. His record improves to 6-2. Jason Hammond took the loss for Sandy Springs.

Francis Barlow aided the DeKalb cause with a 2-run home run in the top of the fourth. For the game, the left fielder was 1 for 3 with a home run, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once.

Sandy Springs manager José Parra said he was "mildly disappointed" with the loss. "We had our opportunities, but we didn't take advantage of them," he said.

The 5th-place Cornhuskers improved to 42-49.
