Victory Over Osos Takes Pacifica to 56-36
|
Pacifica Shamrocks starter Dario Reyes turned in an exceptional performance against the Ruidoso Osos at McCormick Field, resulting in a Pacifica win, 4-1. Reyes, the winner, moves to 9-4. He threw 6 innings of 4-hit ball, while fanning 5 and giving up 2 walks. The first-place Shamrocks, at 56-36, now lead their division by 6½ games.
Ricardo Aragon had a big run-scoring triple for the Shamrocks in the bottom of the third inning. With Pacifica leading 1-0 and a runner on 1st, he got a sinker from Aubrey Williamsen and stroked the triple to left-center. It was his 2nd triple of the season, and more importantly, it put the Shamrocks ahead, 2-0.
Aragon called the win "a collective effort."
