Monarchs Topple Bullets with Late Rally

Biloxi pitcher Chris Burgess gave the Monarchs all they could handle, but in the end, Marysville left The Sand Dune with a 3-2 win. Burgess allowed no earned runs on 4 hits over 5.1 innings. Marysville reliever Walker Baldwin was the winner. His record is now 3-1. The losing pitcher was Taylor MacRuer. Brian Reddin got the save, his 13th in 16 chances.
Omar Mora, who is rated as the 18th best prospect by BNN, contributed to the Marysville win with a 2-run home run in the top of the eighth. For the game, the center fielder had 2 hits in 5 at-bats with 1 home run, 1 single, 1 run scored, and 2 runs batted in.
"I'm not out here to win a beauty contest," said Mora. "Obviously."
With the win, Marysville goes to 40-49, while the Bullets fall to 33-54.
