José Salas had a good game, but he could not keep the Biloxi Bullets from falling, 4-2, to the Pacifica Shamrocks at The Sand Dune. The Biloxi right fielder went 3-4 with a home run and a double, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once in the loss. Pacifica starter James Stevens was credited with the win after throwing 90 pitches over 5 innings. His record now stands at 5-1. Danny Posada, credited with the save, is now 18 for 20 in save opportunities.
The Shamrocks got a big at-bat from first baseman Insung Yaung. For the game, Yaung was 1-4 with a home run, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once. In the top of the first, with a runner on 1st, he stroked a 2-run home run. His 6th home run of the season gave Pacifica a 2-0 lead.
"We cashed in when we had the chance," said Pacifica manager Joe Leftwich.
Pacifica goes to 55-35. The win puts them 7 games up in their division.
