The Frisco Rams got a magnificent performance from pitcher Javier Martínez, who muffled the Boise offense en route to a tight 2-0 Rams win at Basque Block Field. Martínez picked up the win for Frisco, going 5 innings. He gave up no runs on 2 hits. He now sports a record of 4-4. Mike Huerta notched his 10th save in 13 chances.
The Rams got a big at-bat from first baseman Doug O'Leary. For the game, O'Leary was 1-2 with a double. In the top of the fifth, with runners on 1st and 3rd, he stroked a run-scoring double. His 19th double of the season gave Frisco a 1-0 lead.
"I just tried to attack the bottom of the zone," Martínez said.
The second-place Rams have won 4 in a row.
