Masayoshi Tanaka pitched well enough to win, but it was not to be. The Riverside Red Bulls, despite Tanaka's fine outing, dropped a 3-1 decision to the Frisco Rams at Outlander Park. Riverside now has a 5-game losing streak.

The Rams got a big at-bat from second baseman Justin Simino. For the game, Simino went 1 for 2. He drove in 2 runs. In the bottom of the fifth, with runners on 2nd and 3rd, he stroked a 2-run single. His 16th hit of the season gave Frisco a 2-0 lead.

"It was a solid team effort and we'll try to keep this momentum going," Simino told reporters after the game.
