Phoenix rode a fine outing from starter Roberto Duran to victory over the Biloxi Bullets at UFO Field. The final score was 4-0. Phoenix now owns a record of 39-41.

The game was on the line with two out in the top of the eighth inning, but Juan Montés didn't flinch. With runners on 2nd and 3rd and Biloxi trailing 2-0, Montés retired Bill Beasley to end the threat. "Nothing to it," said Montés, with a wink.
