Monarchs Fall Short, 8-7, at San Antonio
San Antonio and Marysville put this game in the books despite some rain.

The San Antonio Storm Troopers knocked off the Marysville Monarchs, 8-7, at The Clone Army. Alfonso Barcello, who captured player of the game honors, was a big reason San Antonio won. The catcher went 1 for 1 with a home run. He drove in 3 runs and scored once. Hector Valencia got credit for the win, improving to 2-2. He allowed 3 runs on 5 hits in 6 innings.

San Antonio took a 8-3 lead on Barcello's 2nd home run of the season. The 3-run home run, which he hit off Marlon Douglas in the bottom of the eighth, propelled San Antonio to the win.

"Say want you want about this team, they play nine innings hard," said San Antonio manager Adrián Carne.

The Storm Troopers bumped their record to 47-34 with this latest triumph.
