The New England Colonials grabbed a 8-1 win over the Santa Fe Fuego at The Fire House. New England shortstop Gil Cozart went 3 for 5 with a home run and 2 singles, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 4 to earn player of the game honors. John Spracklin picked up the win, improving his season record to 2-1. He struck out 1 in 6 innings. With the win, New England has a record of 17-24. Santa Fe falls to 22-21.

Cozart had a big at-bat with the bases loaded in the top of the seventh inning, when he hit a grand slam. The Colonials went on to win.
