Bush Lifts Tornadoes to 10-5 Win
In baseball, each game is unique. This one was no different.

The Kansas City Tornadoes defeated the Mile High Mustangs, 10-5, at McNichols Stadium. Kansas City second baseman Ken Bush was named player of the game for his superb performance. He was 3-5 with a home run and a double, while scoring 2 times and driving in 4. The winner was Joe Kearns in relief. His record improves to 2-1. Rahmad Bintang took the loss.

Matt Winters, who is a two-time Most Valuable Player Award winner, aided the Kansas City cause with a run-scoring walk in the top of the eighth. For the game, the first baseman drew 2 walks.

"It's nice to come out on top today," said Bush.

At 18-20, the Tornadoes are currently 5th in the Thurman Munson League Sparky Anderson Division.
