Ducks Topple Monarchs as Nickless Shines
Bernard Nickless left his imprint on the 7-4 Long Island win against the Marysville Monarchs. Nickless, who leads the RHL with a .482 on-base percentage, went 3-3 with a double, 2 singles, and 3 walks, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once. Long Island reliever Joe Schrock was the winner. His record is now 2-0. Orlando Rivas took the loss. Steve Misiak notched his 7th save in 10 chances.

Nickless had a big at-bat with the bases loaded in the top of the seventh inning, when he hit a run-scoring single. The Ducks went on to win.

"We'll pop the top on a cold one and get back to work tomorrow," Nickless said.

The Ducks bumped their record to 40-36 with this latest triumph.
