Predators Clip Tune-Ups in Tight Contest
The Topeka Predators beat the Youngstown Tune-Ups, 6-4, at Joey Naples Memorial Colloseum. The win was largely due to the efforts of catcher Jim LaCroix, who captured player of the game honors. He went 2 for 4 with a home run. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. The Predators improved to 35-41.

Roberto Guzmán, who is tied for 5th in the RHL in stolen bases with 22, contributed to the Topeka win with a 2-run home run in the top of the eighth. For the game, the shortstop had 2 hits in 4 at-bats with 1 home run, 1 single, 1 run scored, and 2 runs batted in.
