The Buzzard's Bay Beetlecats topped the DeKalb Cornhuskers, 4-2, in Cory Lidle League action at Bloomfield Road. The player of the game was Buzzard's Bay pitcher and Tlalnepantla, Mexico native Robert Escobedo. Kenny Moran was credited with the save. He has now successfully converted 9 of 9 save opportunities. DeKalb has now lost 5 in a row.

Raúl Molina aided the Buzzard's Bay cause with a 2-run home run in the bottom of the eighth. For the game, the pinch hitter went 1-1 with a home run. He drove in 2 runs and scored once.
