Osos Edge Black Bears, 3-2

The Ruidoso Osos topped the Fraser Valley Black Bears, 3-2, in Cory Lidle League action at Bear Cave. The player of the game was Ruidoso pitcher and Irapuato, Mexico native Eduardo Muniz. Ruidoso reliever Bob Beck picked up the win, upping his record to 2-0. Oscar Saucedo absorbed the loss. The Osos bumped their record to 43-35 with this latest triumph.
Jim Bennett drove in one run for Ruidoso. The 24-year old second baseman had a key at-bat in the bottom of the seventh. With one out and the bases loaded, he broke a 2-2 tie with a run-scoring sacrifice fly off Jorge Rodríguez. It was his 27th RBI of the season.
"We were in it," said Fraser Valley manager Casey Ramey. "We just didn't score enough runs."
