Victory Pushes Shamrocks Record to 49-28
|
Benefiting from an exceptional performance from Balik Godambe, the Pacifica Shamrocks defeated the Riverside Red Bulls, 6-3. Godambe went 2 for 4 with a home run and a double, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 3 for the Shamrocks. Pacifica reliever Hirotada Nan picked up the win to move to 3-1. Hyun-tae Hwan suffered the loss. Danny Posada converted his 15th save in 17 tries.
The Shamrocks got a big at-bat from center fielder Tom Warholic. For the game, Warholic went 1 for 4. In the bottom of the sixth, with a runner on 2nd, he stroked a run-scoring single. His 60th hit of the season gave Pacifica a 4-3 lead.
"This is a very good team," said Warholic. "We have the chance to do something special."
Pacifica improves to 49-28 with the win. They lead their division by 7 games.
