Hellcats Squelch Lights Offense in Shutout Win
Jacksonville pitcher Len Adkins did his part in helping his team beat the Phoenix Lights, 3-0. The left-hander kept opposing batters in check throughout the game. Adkins picked up the win for Jacksonville, going 8 innings. He gave up no runs on 6 hits. He now sports a record of 3-7. Tadakatsu Murayama converted his 3rd save in 5 tries.

The Hellcats beat the Lights with some clutch hitting. The single by Alonso Domínguez in the bottom of the sixth is a good example. With two down, Domínguez gave his team the lead, 1-0, when he came through with the big hit.

"I'm just looking for a good pitch that I can hit well," said Domínguez. "And not try to do too much."
