Stogies Bang Out 6-2 Win Versus Hawaii
|
The Havana Stogies defeated the Hawaii Islanders, 6-2, at Aloha Stadium. Havana center fielder Fernando Cruz was named player of the game for his superb performance. He was 3 for 5 with a triple and a double, while scoring 2 times and driving in 3. The Stogies bumped their record to 28-11 with this latest triumph.
Garin Renzenbrink, who is tied for 7th in the RCL in bases on balls with 19, helped out the Havana cause in the top of the first inning with a run-scoring ground out. For the game, the designated hitter went 1-4 with a double.
"It's nice to come out on top today," said Cruz.
