Santa Fe wasted a solid 8-inning effort from starting pitcher Mehmood Dar, losing to New England, 1-0, at The Fire House. The 5th-place Colonials lifted their record to 16-24.
Early in the game, first baseman Jeff Mitchell had a run-scoring double for New England. It was his 8th double of the season and put the Colonials on top, 1-0.
"We'll grab a cold one tonight and go after another win tomorrow," Mitchell said.
