Late Rally by Bullets Secures Win
|
Biloxi got a strong outing from Edwin Crespin as the Bullets defeated the Youngstown Tune-Ups, 3-2, at Joey Naples Memorial Colloseum. Biloxi reliever Máximo Larreta picked up the win, bumping his record to 2-4. Jun Zhou was collared with the loss. Doug Durham converted his 16th save in 18 tries.
Ashton Hairston chipped in for Biloxi with a 2-run home run in the top of the ninth. For the game, the center fielder had 2 hits in 4 at-bats with 1 home run, 1 single, 1 run scored, and 2 runs batted in.
Youngstown manager Robby Tate said he was "mildly disappointed" with the loss. "We had our opportunities, but we didn't take advantage of them," he said.
Biloxi is now 29-40, Youngstown 31-40.
