The Rubber City Rhinos defeated the Dallas Texans, 10-7, at The Rubber Grounds. Rubber City left fielder Aidan Turgoose was named player of the game for his superb performance. He went 2-4 with a home run and a walk, while scoring 3 runs and driving in 2. Shinzo Sasaki, summoned from the bullpen, notched his 10th save. At 19-22, the Rhinos are currently 4th in the Roberto Clemente League Christian Latulippe Division.
Had Raul Hernandes not delivered a key base hit in the bottom of the eighth, the outcome might have been different. Instead, with two down and the bases loaded, Hernandes hit a grand slam. That made the score 10-7, in favor of the Rhinos.
"It's nice to come out on top today," said Turgoose.
