Snaps Win at Spokane, 2-0
|
The Cincinnati Snaps got a strong performance from pitcher Danny Reliford, who stymied the Spokane offense en route to a 2-0 win at The Kennel. Reliford got the win, improving to 4-2. He allowed 5 hits and walked 2 over 7.1 innings. Reliford allowed no earned runs. Bryan Blashill notched his 16th save in 18 chances.
Greg Bova went 1-3 with a home run, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once for Cincinnati. The 22-year old right fielder had a key at-bat in the top of the fifth. With one out and runners on 1st and 3rd, he broke a 0-0 tie with a run-scoring sacrifice fly off Ruben Fernandez. It was his 23rd RBI of the season.
"I made some pitches when I had to," said Reliford.
The Snaps saw their record improve to 30-42.
