Hellcats Lose to Beetlecats in Walk Off
The Buzzard's Bay Beetlecats had to overcome a big game from Jacksonville first baseman Sam Whitmore to leave Bloomfield Road with a 5-4 victory. Whitmore was 2 for 4 with 2 home runs and 2 walks, while scoring 3 times and driving in 3. Buzzard's Bay reliever Robert Escobedo picked up the win, upping his record to 2-3. Tadakatsu Murayama absorbed the loss. The third-place Beetlecats now have a win-loss record of 31-35.

The Beetlecats got a big at-bat from designated hitter Yasuhiro Nishimura. For the game, Nishimura was 2 for 2 with a triple. In the bottom of the 14th, with the bases loaded, he stroked a run-scoring single. His 24th hit of the season gave Buzzard's Bay a 5-4 lead.

"I felt good up there," said Nishimura. "I saw the ball well."
