The Georgia Grays saddled the Mile High Mustangs with a loss at The Death Star. The final score was 5-4. German Salazar, named player of the game, was 2 for 4, including 1 single and 1 home run. The Georgia pinch hitter scored 1 run and drove in 2. Georgia reliever Chung Chio was the winner. His record is now 3-0. Rintaro Shinoda took the loss. Matt Comrie nailed down his 10th save.
The Grays got a big at-bat from third baseman Bronson Patterson. For the game, Patterson went 1 for 4 with a home run. He drove in 3 runs and scored once. In the bottom of the second, with runners on 1st and 2nd, he stroked a 3-run home run. His 1st home run of the season gave Georgia a 3-0 lead.
"We had the game right there for the taking," said Mile High manager Kinnojo Shirai. "But we decided not to take it."
Georgia, now 18-22, holds last place in the Thurman Munson League Sparky Anderson Division.
