The Silicon Valley Hackers wiggled past the Phoenix Lights, 3-2, at UFO Field. Silicon Valley pitcher Tim Carson earned player of the game honors. Silicon Valley goes to 43-25. The win puts them 5 games up in their division.
The Hackers liked what they saw from Carson. The 22-year old pitcher had a commanding presence on the mound, limiting the Lights to no earned runs on 3 hits over 7 innings, and striking out 10.
"Getting ahead of the hitters was the key," said Carson.
