Thrilling Walk-Off Win for Hawks
The Boise Hawks topped the Buzzard's Bay Beetlecats, 4-1, in Cory Lidle League action at Basque Block Field. The player of the game was Boise pitcher Mauro Vázquez. The Hawks bumped their record to 37-32 with this latest triumph.

Boise won the game in the bottom of the 11th inning. With two outs and Takashi Toru on the mound for Buzzard's Bay, third baseman Ed Mathias hit a dramatic 3-run home run, bringing Hawks fans to their feet.

Vázquez attributed the win to "energy and focus on the part of everyone."
