Topeka left-hander Juan Disla made an effective start against the Carson City Mustang at The Field at Richmond, leading his team to a 1-0 win. Oscar Ruiz notched his 18th save in 20 chances. The Predators saw their record improve to 31-35.
Had Carlos Carranza not delivered a key base hit in the bottom of the seventh, the outcome might have been different. Instead, with two down and a runner on 3rd, Carranza hit a run-scoring single. That made the score 1-0, in favor of the Predators.
"I'm just happy to help the team win," Disla told the Topeka Chronicle.
