Storm Troopers Squelch Snaps Offense in Shutout Win
San Antonio starter Douggie Gimson had a strong outing against the Cincinnati Snaps at The Clone Army. The right-hander was a big part of his team's 6-0 win. The winning pitcher was Gimson, now 5-4. He tossed 7.1 innings of 4-hit ball, while walking 3 and fanning 5. The Storm Troopers bumped their record to 38-27 with this latest triumph.

The Storm Troopers got a big at-bat from right fielder Tom Burns. For the game, Burns was 1-4 with a double. In the bottom of the first, with runners on 1st and 2nd, he stroked a run-scoring double. His 9th double of the season gave San Antonio a 1-0 lead.

"We'll pop the top on a cold one and get back to work tomorrow," Gimson said.
