Biloxi center fielder Luis Ruíz had a terrific game, but it still wasn't enough to get his team a win. Ruíz was 1 for 1 with 2 walks and was hit by a pitch, even as Buzzard's Bay beat the Bullets, 5-4. Ruíz was named the player of the game despite the loss. Reliever Mike Phelan picked up the win. His record improves to 3-3. Taylor MacRuer took the loss. Kenny Moran notched his 7th save in 7 chances.

Hyung-gwang Park, who is tied for 7th in the CLL with a .323 batting average, aided the Buzzard's Bay cause with a run-scoring single in the top of the fifth. For the game, the designated hitter was 2-4 with 2 singles.
