Victory Pushes Ducks Record to 32-30
The Long Island Ducks defeated the DeKalb Cornhuskers, 7-2, at The Corn Crib. Long Island catcher Martin Poliskin was named player of the game for his superb performance. He went 3-5 with a home run and 2 singles. He scored 2 runs and drove in 3. Yasukazu Kouda picked up the win with 7 innings of work. He allowed 2 earned runs on 5 hits, while walking 1 and striking out 4. On the season, he is now 7-3. Roger Montgomery, credited with the save, is now 1 for 2 in save opportunities.

A crucial at-bat came with runners on 1st and 2nd and no one out in the top of the sixth inning. That's when third baseman Jorge Guerrero, who is tied for 9th in the RHL with a .430 on-base percentage, hit a single. The Ducks went on to win.
