The Madison Beehive picked up a win at Cowboys Stadium, knocking off the Carson City Mustang, 5-2. Starting pitcher Eddie Ascencio played a key role in the triumph. Vince Johnson was credited with the save. He has now successfully converted 8 of 9 save opportunities. Even with the win, the Beehive have a dismal 19-41 record.

Oliver Coward, who is tied for 10th in the RHL in triples with 3, aided the Madison cause with a run-scoring single in the top of the second. For the game, the right fielder was 2 for 4 with 2 singles and a walk.

"If you pitch well, you give yourself some opportunities," said Madison manager Yataro Hamada.
