Spartans Lose, 6-3, at The Kennel

The Spokane Bulldogs downed the Sandy Springs Spartans, 6-3, at The Kennel. The Bulldogs were led by Bob Scott, who captured player of the game honors. He was 1 for 3 with a home run and a walk. He drove in 3 runs and scored once. Tom Bennett, credited with the win, is now 6-1. He allowed 3 runs on 5 hits in 5 innings. Spokane currently is in 4th place in the Roy Halladay League Bruce Bochy Division at 29-31.
Scott contributed a big hit, a 3-run home run, for Spokane in the bottom of the third. With his team trailing 3-2, Scott took a fastball from Riley Goodall and stroked the home run to left-center. His 3rd home run of the season allowed the Bulldogs to leap in front, 5-3.
"Today was a lot of fun," said Scott.
