Victory Pushes Hawks Record to 33-27
|
The Boise Hawks had to overcome a big game from Frisco third baseman Jung-hyun Yoon to leave Basque Block Field with a 7-4 victory. Yoon went 2 for 3 with a double and a walk. Philippe Vincent, credited with the save, is now 4 for 5 in save opportunities. The Hawks bumped their record to 33-27 with this latest triumph.
Lance Russell aided the Boise cause with a run-scoring walk in the bottom of the third. For the game, the right fielder went 1 for 4 with a walk.
"Baseball is about momentum," said Russell, "and we feel we've got it in our favor after that win."
