Fans who gathered at Sick's Stadium saw a good contest between the Seattle Sasquatch and Rubber City Rhinos.
Seattle starter Garth Daniels had a strong outing against the Rubber City Rhinos at Sick's Stadium. The right-hander was a big part of his team's 4-2 win. Daniels got the win, improving to 1-3. He allowed 3 hits and walked 1 over 7.1 innings. Daniels allowed 1 earned run.
A defensive lapse proved costly in the contest. In the bottom of the fifth, with the game tied, Francisco Valdéz was at the plate when Seattle scored 1 on an error. The miscue enabled the Sasquatch to go in front, 2-1.
"We'll enjoy this win," said Daniels. "But there's more we hope to accomplish."
Seattle is now 18-20, Rubber City 17-22.
