Hellcats designated hitter Jean-Yves Girard put his stamp on his team's 6-2 win over the Frisco Rams. Girard was 2-3 with 2 singles and a walk. He drove in 2 runs and scored once for Jacksonville in the contest. Jacksonville reliever Ed Benner picked up the win to move to 2-0. Tim Marchman suffered the loss. Even with the win, the Hellcats have a dismal 20-38 record.

"We put a lot of pressure on ourselves," Domínguez told a Jacksonville Observer reporter. "Sometimes we need just to relax."
