Red Bulls Get One-Run Win at Boise
|
The Riverside Red Bulls stopped the Boise Hawks, 5-4, behind an impressive performance from Tadahisa Iwamoto. The 22-year old catcher made life miserable for Boise pitching. He was 1-3 with a double and a walk. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. Tyler Ambroziak converted his 18th save in 19 tries. The losing streak for Boise has now reached 4 games.
Iwamoto had a key at-bat for Riverside early in the game. With runners on 2nd and 3rd, he hit a 2-run double. It was his 10th double of the season and gave Riverside an early 2-0 lead.
"I'm just looking for a good pitch that I can hit well," said Iwamoto. "And not try to do too much."
