Hellcats Come Back Late to Clip Hackers
|
The Jacksonville Hellcats trumped the Silicon Valley Hackers, 8-5, at Hellcats Park. Jacksonville third baseman Alonso Domínguez was named player of the game for his performance. He went 3-3 with a home run, 2 singles, and a walk, while scoring 2 times. Even with the win, the Hellcats have a dismal 18-37 record.
Had Jason Colaianni not delivered a key base hit in the bottom of the eighth, the outcome might have been different. Instead, with two down and runners on 1st and 2nd, Colaianni hit a run-scoring double. That made the score 6-5, in favor of the Hellcats.
"Nice to see our side come away with the win," Colaianni said after the game.
