Toreros Win at San Francisco, 4-2
|
The Toreros faced a stiff challenge from San Francisco pitcher Adharma Sughavanam, but persevered to claim a win at Golden Gate Park. The final score was 4-2. Sughavanam went 8 innings and allowed 4 earned runs. Cabo San Lucas, now 3-2, has gotten their season off to a good start.
The Toreros got a big at-bat from pinch hitter Gart Rook. For the game, Rook went 1 for 1 with a home run, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. In the top of the seventh, with a runner on 1st, he stroked a 2-run home run. His 2nd home run of the season gave Cabo San Lucas a 4-2 lead.
"I thought we played a nice game," Rook told the Cabo San Lucas Daily. "Good pitching, timely hitting, it was all there."
