Victory Pushes Osos Record to 29-23

The Ruidoso Osos picked up a win at Bear Cave, knocking off the DeKalb Cornhuskers, 5-3. Starting pitcher Terry Outlaw was an essential part of his team's success. The winning pitcher was Outlaw, now 3-3. He tossed 7.1 innings of 5-hit ball, while walking 1 and fanning 6. Ruidoso now has a 4-game win streak.
The Osos got a big at-bat from catcher Tony Cervantes. For the game, Cervantes went 2 for 3 with 2 doubles and a walk, while adding 2 RBI. In the bottom of the third, with a runner on 1st, he stroked a run-scoring double. His 5th double of the season gave Ruidoso a 2-1 lead.
"We'll relax tonight and get back after it tomorrow," Cervantes said after the game.
