Wolverines Get Close Win Over Tune-Ups
|
The Wichita Wolverines defeated the Youngstown Tune-Ups, 6-4, in Roy Halladay League action at Joey Naples Memorial Colloseum, with Wichita shortstop Freddy Ramos named player of the game. The Wolverines have an impressive 33-18 record.
Had Kazuaki Kishi not delivered a key base hit in the top of the eighth, the outcome might have been different. Instead, with two down and the bases loaded, Kishi hit a 2-run single. That made the score 5-4, in favor of the Wolverines.
"We'll put this win in our pocket and go after the next one," said Kishi.
