Black Bears Bang Out 11-2 Win Versus Marysville
|
Benefiting from Milt Mezzanotte's productive game, the Fraser Valley Black Bears downed the Marysville Monarchs, 11-2. Mezzanotte went 2 for 3 with 2 singles and 2 walks. He scored 3 times and drove in 2 for the Black Bears. Ramón Martínez, who went 5 innings, was the winning pitcher. He was charged with 2 runs on 3 hits, while walking 2 and striking out 8. His record now stands at 4-2. The save was Alex Rivas's, his 2nd.
Noriyuki Miyamoto aided the Fraser Valley cause with a 2-run home run in the top of the third. For the game, the left fielder went 1-3 with a home run and 2 walks. He drove in 2 runs and scored once.
